Many Hands, Many Faces

Among many hands
That I have ever touched,
Soft, able and pretty;
None has ever carried
Scars of many burdens
Or dug through trenches
Of countless pitfalls
That life brought on
Like your hands did.

Among many faces
That I have ever seen,
Beautiful and shining;
None refracted the light
To the colours that
I was in love with
Or reflected on the traces
Of my fading existence
Like your face did.
